WHAT IS ZOAY?
ZOAY is the student ministry at Cornerstone Church. ZOAY is the Greek word (zoë) for life. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy but I have come that they may have life (zoë), and have it to the full.” Our goal is to help this next generation find life in Christ. This life is filled with grace and love and removes all kinds of guilt, shame, and condemnation.
In today’s culture, we’ve allowed our society to shape the way young people think and have settled for mediocrity in the way we teach and experience Jesus. At Cornerstone Church, our student ministries exist to help students know that they are valued, loved, and approved by God in spite of their choices or circumstances. We want to empower young people by reminding them that they are called sons and daughters of God by their belief in him, not by their behavior.
WHEN DOES ZOAY MEET?
High School & Middle School meets every Wednesday night at Cornerstone Church. Doors open at 6:45pm. We ask that you pick your students up no later than 8:30pm.
WHAT IF I’M NEW OR DON’T KNOW ANYONE?
We’ve all had those moments of trying something new or experiencing something different that makes us feel uncomfortable, nervous, and scared all at the same time. The reason for why ZOAY exists is to help create a fun environment where the chains of fear are broken and that awkward feeling of the unknown is removed. We have students from all kinds of backgrounds, cultures, and pasts that come together to hang out and be encouraged. This is a safe place to voice your doubts, opinions, insecurities, and questions about God as we challenge each other to live life to the fullest.
